How do I prepare for the retreat?

10 Days before you arrive, we will email you our  7-Day Prep Coaching which will include simple meditations, questions, breathing exercises and protocols to establish BEFORE you join us. This will ensure that all guests are already fully focused relaxed and on the same page, thus ensuring their 6 nights and 7 days in Jamaica is as enjoyable as possible. 

Which is the best airport to fly into for the retreat? 

The resort is located just 15 minutes drive from central Negril and Sangster International in Montego Bay is the nearest airport at just 1 ½  hours away.

What are the retreat dates?

Monday 1st to Sunday 7th April 2024

What kind of food will be served? 

A plant-based nutritious menu has been specially devised to ensure optimum energy and satisfaction for your retreat. Balanced meals containing the daily recommended amounts of proteins, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients and micronutrients will be catered for.

There will be an abundance of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables with additional superfood options including 100% natural vegetable and fruit juices, smoothies, soups, stews, salads, salsas, sauces, home-made bread, bakes, snacks and desserts. 

We cater to low-fat, gluten-free diets. Please let us know your diet needs prior to arrival so we can best serve you. 

Will alcohol be available? 

No. We do not recommend alcohol for the duration of the retreat, but we will have lots of other  drinks and beverages.

Can I purchase food or drinks off site and bring them to the retreat? 

The retreat is in a secluded hill-side with no nearby facilities. All meals and snacks will be catered for onsite. There will be an opportunity to purchase snacks during offsite excursions. If favorite foods (eg beverages) are required, we would advise bringing a small selection.

Can I have a private room? 

Yes, there is a choice of private and shared rooms, all with private bedrooms shower room and toilet.  

Will there be free time for me during the retreat? 

Absolutely! The Dragon’s Retreat is a balance between free time and structured coaching and activities to support your wellness journey. 

Will there be any off-site excursions to local beauty spots included in the programme?

Yes, Jamaica is a magnificently beautiful island and we would not want you to miss the opportunity to visit a local beauty spot, we will therefore,  include 2 off-site excursion to a local beauty spot, included in the price. 

Is the retreat near the sea?

Yes the property is just 15 minutes drive to  Mile Beach and an excursion will be arranged on one day. . 

What does a typical day at the retreat look like?

Our days will follow a routine that will assist you to fully benefit from the Dragon’s Circle Protocols which will be presented in daily workshops and demonstrations. 

They days are designed to flow effortlessly with lots of relaxation, body-work, healing, journaling and down-time. Typically our days are structured as follows:

07.30 - Rise, hydrate, meditate, breath, yoga  and bodywork*, journalling

10.00 - Breakfast

11.00 - Morning Coaching Workshop

13.00 -  Main meal of the day

14.00 -  Free time / local excursion / afternoon workshop / 1-2-1 Coaching /Bodywork

18.30 -  Evening meal 

19.30 -  Freetime / Evening   Circle  

21.30 -  Retire

Is it ok to come on my own?

Absolutely! While you may come on your own, you will leave with a brotherhood community of men. Our joining events during the first day is designed to allow deep relaxation, bonding and trust among the group. 

Do I need to bring any equipment?

No. Minimum equipment is required. All coaching and workshop equipment will be provided.

Do I need to bring my own toiletries? 

Yes although the rooms have soaps we advise bringing your own toiletaries. If you have something special that you need, please plan to bring it.

Do I need to have the Covid vaccine to attend the retreat? 

No, you do not need to have the Covid vaccine to attend the retreat. Details are provided www.visitjamaica.com 

Is smoking allowed on the property? 

Yes smoking is allowed in designated areas of the property and each cottage has its own veranda. 

How do I reserve and pay for the retreat?

A 25% deposit is paid to secure your place with the final  payment due by 23 March 2024 and paid in the following ways:

Can I book the venue for a longer stay before/after the retreat?

Yes, we can discuss options to arrive earlier and stay on after the retreat.

Is transport to and from the property included in the price?

Yes. Transfers are all included in the price, 

What should I pack to be prepared for the retreat? 

The weather in Jamaica is pretty consistently warm, however, rain can come unexpectedly! Pack clothing that is comfortable and suitable for warm, humid weather. We recommend packing the following: 

  • Swimwear

  • Loose clothing

  • Comfortable clothing for warm weather (shorts, t-shirts etct)

  • One all white outfit for the last night of the retreat **

  • Insect repellent 

  • Medications 

  • Comfortable walking sneakers and sliders

  • Ruck-sack

Are visitors allowed?

No. Privacy and security is of the utmost importance and so only staff, guests of the resort and facilitators will be on the property during our retreat. 

Are there any animals onsite?

Yes, 2 old and friendly  dogs - Lucky and Shaka. 

What provisions do you have for security and valuables onsite?

The property is a secure gated site, in a private and secluded hill-side close to a small village.  24 hour security is also on site. 

What provisions are there if I should fall sick on the retreat?

A medical clinic is 15 minutes drive in the centre of Negril.
